Meet Maria
Hi, I’m Maria Radunovic, your Integrative Child Play Therapist, and I’m thrilled to meet you! 🌟 I believe that play is the natural language of children, and it’s the most effective way for them to express and work through their feelings.
I am Registered Play Therapist with APPTA (Australasia Pacific Play Therapy Association) and hold a Master’s degree in Child Play Therapy from Deakin University, where I was trained in various modalities, including Learn to Play (Pretend Play), Humanistic Play Therapy, and Filial Play Therapy. I am also a certified facilitator in LEGO-Based Therapy.
My mission is to foster healing, growth, and transformation for children, parents, and families affected by personal and generational childhood trauma. I support children in embracing their whole selves, guiding them to love every part of who they are. I also help parents feel whole again, supporting them as they find their way to a happier, more fulfilled journey in parenthood.
When I’m not working with kids, you’ll likely find me reading, painting, or playing board games with my family. I’m here to create a warm and safe space where your child can comfortably explore their emotions, solve problems, and be themselves. I use an integrated approach tailored to the unique goals of each family.
I’m here to support your child every step of the way. Feel free to reach out, and let’s embark on this adventure together! 🚀
Our Services
-
Learn To Play Therapy
The aim of the program is to build the spontaneous play ability of children.
The play skills targeted in Learn to Play Therapy include the ability to spontaneously initiate play, logically sequence play actions, use objects as symbols (such as object substitution), engage with a doll or teddy bear as a separate character, integrate play into a script, participate in role play, and interact socially through play (2).
-
Humanistic Play Therapy
Humanistic Play Therapy is is a different experience than everyday play for the child, because the therapist integrates a well-defined set of skills in a consistent, predictable manner which creates the space for the child’s self-expression and self-direction (5).

Filial Family Therapy
Filial Therapy is a recognised evidence-based therapeutic approach that blends non-directive play therapy with family therapy to enhance relationships, build healthy attachments, and prevent family disruptions. This method offers a more direct and efficient way to address challenging child-parent dynamics and related behavioral and emotional issues.
